Our goal is to create a community of environmentally concerned individuals, who besides wanting to own a beautiful piece of paradise, would also like to help preserve the rainforest. The land is in the middle of “The Path Of The Tapir”-a biological corridor, and several other habitat enhancement projects. We are working with our neighbors to combine larger areas for the reserve, and to expand the corridor.

Our vision includes being an example of alternative solar and hydro-electric power, as well as ecologically beneficial technologies of water conservation, sewage and gray water treatment. Environmental easements will be in place to help protect and insure the quality of life for all the community members, as well as for the ecosystem which surrounds it. The area has several other rainforest conservation projects, and by combining our efforts we can help the biological corridor become established before further development fragments the area. We are creating a model for sustainable development with in a rainforest preserve.

 

Future projects planned for the land include: 

  • - Enhancement of waterfall pool - gardens, deck, and pool.
  • - A breed and release program to re-introduce scarlet macaws to the area. (link)
  • - Observation decks and a rancho down in the valley for overnight stays.
  • - Expansion of community gardens and orchards now growing!  Many habitat enhancement projects to attract wildlife. (link)
